Rabia S. Khedr, and her lead associate, Zubeda Vahed, are both devoted to building accessible, inclusive and safe communities by working on projects that promote diversity and social inclusion. Rabia specializes in participatory action research, inclusion and community development. Both as a self-advocate and consultant, she has over 15 years of personal and professional experience in accessibility, community development and outreach with persons with disabilities and ethno-racial-cultural communities.
Under diversityworX, Rabia collaborates with associates with specific expertise as determined by the assignments diversityworX contracts in order to provide high caliber training and consulting services to their clients. Associates of diversityworX have a variety of long standing experience working with diverse communities and persons with disabilities, specifically designing, implementing and managing inclusive policies, practices and curriculum for learners within the educational system and in the not for profit sector including housing, health and social services.
Dedicated to creating receptive, respectful, reflective and responsive environments through strategic solutions, iversityWorx takes a grass roots, participatory perspective to collecting and validating information about communities to ensure that all voices are heard and incorporated in the process. Rabia's personal goal is to ensure that in and out of home services, programs, events and activities are sensitive and responsive to the needs of women, children, youth and seniors with disabilities and their families from diverse cultural and faith communities.
